Nonlinear vibration characteristics of ultrasonic cavitation bubbles under different excitation conditions

In order to investigate the relationship between cavitation effects and nonlinear vibration characteristics of cavitation bubbles in ultrasonic fields, a nonlinear vibration equation of cavitation bubbles under different states was solved, and the evolution curve of bubble radius, phase diagram, Poincaré section diagram, power spectrum diagram and bifurcation diagram that describing the motion state of bubbles over time were obtained. The effects of different frequencies and sound pressures on the nonlinear vibration characteristics of cavitation bubbles under triangular wave and sine wave excitation were studied. Under triangular wave excitation, bubble vibration is more prone to enter a chaotic state, and the frequency range of chaotic states is wider, which will facilitate expanding the frequency range of ultrasonic cavitation in liquid processing applications. © 2024 Zhejiang University.
