By using the traditional temperature-reduction method, the growth rate of KDP crystal is 1-2 mm/d. The growth cycle of large scale KDP crystals is so long that the chance to get perfect crystal is little. In the present work, 200 mm grade KDP crystals was grown at the growth rate of 20 mm/d by the point-seed rapid growth method. The growth of KDP is normal, and the rocking curve show that the large scale KDP crystal grown by point-seed rapid growth method is with high structural integrality.
