Impact of spatial correlation on the combination of transmit diversity and multiuser diversity

The paper studies the impact of transmitter spatial correlation on the performance of multiuser system in the downlink. Exact expressions for the average channel capacity of the multiuser diversity systems combined with TxAA and STBC respectively are derived, and the average capacity is analyzed. The simulation results are consistent with the analysis results, which show that the transmitter spatial correlation improves the average capacity of the multiuser diversity system, and under the comparison of the average capacity, the TxAA scheduler outperforms the STBC scheduler.
