The species composition of higher aquatic plants and the structure of their communities were studied in 13 water bodies of the town of Kiev; including the lakes Almaznoye; Verbnoye; Vyrlitsa; Goluboye; Lugovoye; (Opechen-5); Pidbirna; Raduzhnoye; Redkino; Sineye; Solnechnoye; Telbin; Tsentralnoye; and Orekhovatskiy pond N 2.
