摘要
The scattering of SH-waves by a semi-cylindrical hill and a semi-cylindrical canyon in elastical half-space was studied. Using 'conjunction', displacement solutions that meet the boundary conditions were constructed in the two half spaces respectively. By moving coordinates, the two domains were conjoined to satisfy the 'conjunction' condition and the boundary condition of the semi-cylindrical canyon, and then a set of infinite algebraic equations about the problem were obtained. The results of calculations are presented to show the influence of the semi-cylindrical canyon on the ground motion of the hill.
