A new concept in the management and control of the fibers line

The need for producing good pulp and paper quality and reducing cost production have provided and created new concepts, developmental research, and investments throughout production supply chains. Metso Automation has created a new Kajaani line analyzers, that adds all the requirements. The online KajaaniKAPPA Q analyzer rapidly measures the pulp's lignin content and brightness, carrying out up to 40 measurements per hour. Its measuring capacity can easily be expanded, by adding measuring modules according to production line needs. The new equipment can process up to 16 sampling points and enables taking into account the needs of all types and sizes of fiber lines plus a good cost-benefit relation. The online results can immediately be sent to the DCS or Quality System, enabling awareness of the fiber properties and shives along with information on vessels. Remote connections can also be established to the expert centers through fast and safe communication networks.
