Leading UK industry organizations are organizing trips to Japan in order to equipped themselves with latest technologies and knowledge regarding manufacturing procedures. Industry Forum of the Society Motor Manufacturers organizes a series of tour to learn how Japanese manufacturers are organizing themselves. It is focusing on learning about lean manufacturing processes of all superflous materials, operations, and people. This focused approach really epitomizes the Japanese approach rather than the employment of any particular tool or techniques.
