Main types and prevention measures on construction production safety accidents in China

Based on data of accidents express of the Ministry of Housing and Rural-Urban development of China, this paper analyses nationwide construction production safety accidents during the 48 months from 2008 to 2011. Statistical analysis shows that high fall, collapse, and stroked by objects own the highest rates in the various types of construction production safety accidents. The cumulative accidents happened occurrences rate and death toll rate of the three main types are 78.74% and 78.40%, which are the main monitoring objects in construction production safety accidents. This paper is focused on the three main accidents types analyzing from time distribution and the cause rules. According to the analysis results, some prevention measures to improve construction safety situation are proposed.
