摘要
One of the most critical factors when using biodegradable hydraulic fluids is the risk of mixing with mineral oils. A contamination even with few percent will deteriorate the technical properties of the bio-oils. The effects vary considerably between different combinations of bio-oils and mineral oils. Some examples are presented here. Clean work execution is essential for conversion of hydraulic equipment from mineral oil to bio-oil and for maintenance. Hydraulic systems must be flushed with bio-oil during conversion to remove mineral oil from inaccessible areas and to comply with the 2 % maximum contamination demanded by the ISO standard. A general work instruction is available from the internet.
