Application of RFID technology in multi-agent manufacturing system

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a newcomer in supply chain area. With the help of RFID technology, real time information can be collected. Multi-agent technology is a popular way to address distributed supply chain management (SCM), and information sharing plays a key role in multi-agent system. To give multi-agent based model more power and facility, we present a RFID based multi-agent model, in which information synchronization is realized by employing RFID technology at item level. The RFID based multi-agent system is constructed, intra- and inter-coordination mechanism of this system are discussed.
