Study on stationary stochastic seismic motion model and stochastic response of earth-rock dams

A versatile, stochastic seismic motion model was presented accounting for uncertainty real seismic excitations. The principles and methods of determining model parameters were given. Then, the model was used to analyze seismic response of a homogeneous earth-rock dam. The calculated results were compared with those obtained from Markov spectrum and Kanai spectrum. The rationality of the present stochastic seismic motion model was examined and certified. At the same time, seismic performances of the earth-rock dams excited by stochastic seismic load were analyzed.
