摘要
The newly developed Aluminum 6061 metal matrix composite shows promise in addressing the current demands of advanced technical applications, including aerospace, aircraft, motor vehicles, equipment manufacturing, and brake systems. These requirements are met because of improved mechanical properties, reliable manufacturing methods, and the ability to lower the production costs of aluminium composites. The analysis of these materials is primarily accomplished by the selection of reliable non-continuous reinforcing particles. Multiple manufacturing techniques can be utilized to produce Al6061 composites incorporating various types of reinforcing particles. The stir casting process is a cost-effective and easily manageable approach that is commonly employed for large production. This review aims to investigate the mechanical and tribological properties like Hardness, Tensile and Wear, which the AMMC prepared through the Stir-Casting process. The literature review observed that the stir-casting manufacturing process is influenced by several parameters, including the types of matrix and reinforcement particles, the particle size of reinforcements, the stirrer speed, the stirrer temperature, the stirrer blade angle, the preheating temperature of the reinforcements, and the solidification medium.
