After years of testing and hype, not a lot of companies can say there are real applications for autonomous technology. However, at this year’s virtual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), both Caterpillar and John Deere — two companies known for their tractors and heavy equipment — showcased autonomous machines that are being used worldwide in farming and mining projects.
