摘要
Sorption-enhanced water gas shift (SEWGS) reaction is pivotal for high-purity hydrogen (H2) production and reducing CO2 emissions. This study utilized thermodynamic analysis to assess the impact of feedstock gas characteristic on H2 purity and yield. Results presented that the changeable feedstock gas composition would involve different chemical reaction, resulting in different H2 purity and yield. 99% H2 purity and yield were obtained at 600 degrees C with a S/C ratio of 4, highlighting the significance of CO and CH4 in reforming processes. Feedstock gas concentration variation greatly affect the water gas shift reaction equilibrium. Higher H2 and CO concentration could improve H2 yield and CO2 removal efficiency, while a higher CH4 concentration potentially increased the H2 concentration because of methane steam reforming reaction. The above analysis could determine reaction equilibrium limitation and optimal reaction conditions for guiding practical application.
