Em Davos, 2020, executivos de diversas áreas reafirmaram o compromisso com o sistema do capitalismo stakeholder. A ideia deste sistema é voltar os interesses das empresas aos stakeholders, ou seja, a qualquer um que dependa - diretamente ou não - do sucesso da companhia. Isso inclui acionistas, funcionários, a comunidade local e outras empresas na cadeia produtiva. Este novo lema é uma reação ao capitalismo shareholder, voltado apenas para o interesse dos acionistas.
