摘要
The effects of grain size and orientation on the precipitation behavior of the T1 (Al2CuLi) phase in 2050 T8 sheets are quantitatively investigated using transmission Kikuchi diffraction (TKD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results indicate that the T1 phase predominantly precipitates at high densities on the activated slip planes, results in a reduction of the precipitation strengthening effect. In grains of near the R-Cube orientation, the volume fraction of T1 phase within the sub-grains is approximately 12% higher than that in the recrystallized grains, while the contribution to strengthening effect through precipitation is comparable.
