摘要
Thermoplastic polypropylene (PP) has the advantages of simple process, low energy consumption and excellent mechanical and electrical properties. When used for power cable insulation, it does not need crosslinking and degassing in the production process. In this paper, different modified polypropylene materials and cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable insulation materials are taken as the research object, and the material properties in different thermal oxygen aging stages is analyzed through differential scanning calorimetry, mechanical tensile property test, dielectric constant, loss and breakdown strength test. The results show that the condensed structure of different modified polypropylene insulating materials is slightly different, compatible rubber phase structure in copolymerized modified polypropylene can provide material properties similar to the crosslinking structure of traditional XLPE, and the change trend of thermal insulation of XLPE is the same as that of polypropylene during aging. In addition, the rubber phase content of polypropylene material must be controlled, which can compromise the mechanical and aging properties of the material. This paper can provide a basis for the application and selection of polypropylene insulated cables. © 2022 Science Press. All rights reserved.
