The launching of a series of pre-configured platforms for key markets by ARC International is discussed. ARC management has a MQX real time operating systems (RTOS) that is used in industrial applications and supports ARC and non-ARC processors. ARC portfolio consists of configurable processors such as Tagent-A4, Tangent-A5, ARC 600 and ARC 700. It is found that ARC has expanded its ARChitect2 tool with the Extension Interface Automation (EIA) technology, which provides a graphical interface with which designers can create a library of processor components.
