Zülpich Papier, corrugating medium and test liner producing company, has decided to analyze and optimize the operating mode of a single felt. Voith Paper offered to install the FeltView analysis system for optimizing the press, which is used for continuous online measurement of felt moisture, permeability, and felt temperature. The data can be visualized and analyzed together with additional process data in the OnView portal and also displayed in the existing process control system (DCS). After determining the ideal felt moisture, it is required to set the permeability at a specific felt moisture, which is supposed to happen above all via the high pressure showers setting. FeltView has enabled the company to attain a process transparency in the press section that offers us new possibilities in felt conditioning and evaluation.
