In 2001, the French company Durst Image Technology launched its new numerical large-format printing press Rho 160 that accepts both flexible supports and rigid panels with a thickness limit of 40 mm. The press operates using the so-called Drop-on-Demand inkjet piezo technology at a resolution of 360 dpi. The polyvalent Rho 160 runs on UV inks, printing at an hourly speed of up to 90 square meters. It guaranties printing of a very high precision.
