Increasing competition in the liberalized energy market forces power producers not only to exploit their full potential in reducing costs, but also to take up every chance in energy trading. Fast and reliable information from various sources in the power generation process is required to make optimal decisions and to avoid costly losses. The following key information must be provided: the free load capability, the production cost and the contract situation. In order to support these tasks, Siemens Power Generation has developed PROFIT Cockpit, presented in this paper.
