Experience of hot repair of coke ovens with ceramic surfacing

Hot repair of coke ovens by method of ceramic surfacing is the main trend in domestic coke and by-product industry. This method makes it possible to improve efficiency of operation of coke oven batteries. Various ceramic materials have been utilized during repair of the coke ovens. Ceramic materials produced during silicon and aluminium combustion in oxygen are successfully applied on refractory lining of coke oven. Compositions of various utilized mixtures have been presented. It has been shown that 'Fosbel'' technology is very efficient. Optimal content of metallic aluminium in the mixture has been determined.
