Research on regeneration by extraction and activity of Pd/C catalyst used in the preparation of doxycycline

摘要
The present article relates to the regeneration of Pd/C catalyst used in the preparation of doxycycline by extraction with different alcohols in various amounts and refluxing times. Good results were obtained through extraction of 1g used Pd/C with 60 mL methanol at boiling point for 60 min. When newly prepared catalyst was employed, the yield of doxycycline and stereoselectivity of reaction were 77.7% and 87.0% respectively while the same parameters of regenerated catalyst were 75.9% and 86.3% respectively.
