摘要
Recently, a tremendous development of new powerful instruments for demonstration of medical images and their analysis has facilitated precise diagnosis and solving medical problems through digital image processing techniques. With these evolving instruments it is possible to segment an image, compare segments of various images, classification of various features and diagnosis. The most challenging stage of medical imaging lies in the development of integrated systems that support the clinical sector. Thus interdisciplinary collaboration between physicians and engineers is compulsory to develop a medical image analysis, medical system design and its, implementation. One of the most important devices that aid in diagnosis is the microscope, which plays a significant role to magnify the tissues and organisms which are too minute to be seen clearly with the naked eye. This work clarifies that using microscope augments the need for its image analysis and processing to extract features from its images, cell count, classify normal cells from malignant one, etc. This would aid the specialists in better diagnosis of the disease and its treatment accordingly.
