Simulation of the flow past two dimensional bluff bodies using deterministic vortex method

摘要
Based on discrete vortex method, Particle Strength Exchange (PSE) is used for diffusion and when the distribution of the particles becomes distorted, the particle strength redistribution is applied. The problem of the flow past an impulsively started cylinder, the problem of the flow with 15 attacked angle pass a square and the flow past the great belt bridge are simulated. The results agree quite well with the analytical results and the results from other numerical methods. The numerical results show that the high-resolution of deterministic vortex method makes it have great potential in the simulation of the flow past the bluff body.
