摘要
This study mainly aims at the investigation on the reasons due to the occurrence for the folding defects that yielded from forging T-type circular pipe fastener, and proposes improvements in forming methods for expecting to eliminate folding defects. By using commercial simulation software to simulate the original forming methods, and set the forging stream line at blank grid points to observe the blank's flowing direction and reasons of occurring folding in the forging process, as well as focus on the starting point occurring the folding defects to improve the corresponding forming methods to achieve the requirement of specifications. This study proposes very good forming methods comparing the realistic stream line of product to improve the product quality. © 2016, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. All right reserved.
