Diode laser cyclophotocoagulation in the treatment of refractory glaucoma

Transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (TSPC) is associated with a number of devastating consequences. It is the very rare development of sympathetic ophthalmia (SO) that may preclude the option of TSPC in patients with a near blind and painful eye. This article presents two cases of refractory glaucoma in whom TSPC was performed with diode laser.
