Speech systems work together in harmony

The use of speech recognition engines for converting the utterances into text and text documents is discussed. Speaker verification and speech recognition operate on spoken language which is used as a input to a microphone or telephone, and they both employ analog-to-digital signal processing (DSP) techniques to extract information about acoustic data and patterns from that input. It is shown that the addition of speaker verification to speech recognition is useful for automated and semi-automated call center operations.
