Study of several problems for high frequency induction heating power supply based on multilevel inverter

Because the voltage leval of power MOSFET is low, a series resonance voltage inverter based on multilevel technology is applied to high frequency induction heating power supply to realize high output power in this paper. Several application problems are studied. For restraining the reverse recovery current in diode and improving the switching condition of power MOSFET, a passive lossless snubber is adopted and the design method of parameters in the snubber is presented. The work mode of multilevel inverter is confirmed through analyzing the work process of inverter in dead-time, by which the problems of load voltage commutating and adjusting are solved. The simulation and experimental results of 500 kHz induction heating power supply verify the validity of the research work.
