The identification of the fault for the orchestrated web services during service execution is growing important. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic method to diagnose the faults in an orchestrated web service process. We convert web service into transfer probability tables as our diagnosis model. When the service throws an exception, we use our diagnosis model to build a normal execution sequence, which has a maximum similarity with the exception execution sequence, and to find all discrepancies between normal and exception sequence for localizing the faulty behaviors. Moreover, we conduct the simulation experiments to evaluate our method. The experimental results show that our method outperforms the existing diagnosis methods in terms of diagnostic accuracy. © 2013 Binary Information Press.
