摘要
The hybrid finite element-boundary integral-multilevel fast multipole algorithm (FE-BI-MLFMA) is a general and accurate numerical method for open region electromagnetic problems. A new hybrid algorithm is proposed in this paper for calculating scattering by large-scale finite periodic patch antenna arrays, which is based on FE-BI-MLFMA and the finite element tearing and interconnecting domain decomposition method (FETI). Each unit cell of the array-type structure is treated as one sub-domain. Because of the geometric repetition, all the subdomains can be categorized according to their position relationship. Since only typical subdomains need to be considered, computation resources are efficiently saved. Numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the validity and capability of this method for the finite array-type problems. © Right.
