IP upgrades its Conway plant

A new KBA Planeta six-color, 64-inch, sheetfed press was installed by International Paper (IP) at its Conway Graphics container plant in Conway, Ark., as part of a multimillion dollar investment in the facility. The operation is one of ten that make up the container business graphics segment. The new press, which will enhance IP's capabilities in litho-laminated boxes, has six color printing stations plus a coating station. It has a capacity of 13,000 high-quality sheets per hour, as well as the ability to produce larger sizes than were previously available from the Conway plant.
