Stora Enso is planning to raise the cartonboard capacity of BM 1 at its mill. It also plans to carry out a major rebuild of the unit by 2007. BM 1's output of waste-based three layer coated cartonboard increased from 155,000 tonnes/year to 160,000 tonnes/year. The firm also plans to boost the machine's output to 200,00-tonnes/year in the coming years.
