Elaboration of zinc coating on steel by pulse electrolysis

In the present research a chloride bath was used and zinc deposits were obtained using continuous and pulsed current processes. Test of corrosion were performed in a stirred and aerated solution of NaCl (30 g/L). The morphology of the coatings was characterised by observations in scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). Finally, X ray diffraction in symmetric mode allowed to evaluate the structure and principal crystallographic orientations of the deposits. © EDP Sciences.
