摘要
The use of nonimpact-tested carbon steel piping in the main flare headers of gas processing facilities with intermittent cold relief flows was evaluated. The calculations required to evaluate the use of such steel piping in cold intermittent service according to ANSI B31.3 guidelines are discussed. Simple steady-state and nonsteady-state heat transfer calculations that can be used to estimate the impact of intermittent cold relief flows on flare header piping are considered.
