摘要
Ti3SiC2/TiC composite material was prepared by reactive sintering technology, the phase composition of Ti3SiC2/TiC composite material was examined using XRD-7000 X-ray diffraction, the bending strength, SEM photograph, friction and wear properties of Ti3SiC2/TiC were investigated using an INSTRON-1195 electronic universal testingmachine, JSM-6700F SEM and a HST-100 pin-on-disc friction and wear testing machine, respectively. The results showed that uniform and dense Ti3SiC2/TiC bulks can be synthesized by reactive sintering of starting composition of 3Ti/1.2Si/2C at 1550℃. The flexural strength increased with the content increase of TiC. When the amount of TiC was higher than 18%, the flexural strength increased obviously while the frictional coefficient was tending towards stability and wear rate decreased obviously. Current intensity is the main influence factors, friction coefficient and wear rate increased obviously with the current intensity enhanced, oxide scales (Non-current-carrying: SiO2, TiO2 and FeTiO3, Current-carrying: FeTiO3 and Fe2.35Ti0.65O4) will be formed on the surface, the main wear forms of Ti3SiC2/TiC were arc erosion and oxidation wear under the current-carrying conditions. ©, 2015, Science Press.
