摘要
The cloning of human cells called blastocyts by the Korean scientists is discussed. The scientists managed to produce cloned cells using a more gentle version of the somatic nuclear transfer method, known as therapeutic cloning, that has been used for cloning animals. But then, there are controversies whether these cell masses are embryos. According to the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority, the use of this kind of technology should be supported because therapeutic cloning is potentially life protecting.
