摘要
Conical refiners - widely used in the early 1900s - have been reworked to eliminate high energy requirement and the tendency to cut short fibers. Initial and continuing field results showed an ability to provide improved fiber development, more complete and homogenous treatment of the fibers, and improved energy efficiency for identical or better fiber development.
