Five hydroxyl-terminated polyesters were synthesised using different diacids and crosslinked to form polyurethane coatings. The polyols based on cycloallphatic diacids produced films with better overall mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties than were obtained from aromatic and linear aliphatic diacids.
