摘要
One of the two tallest Christmas trees in Europe was successfully constructed with an overall height of 72m, as high as a 20-storey high-rise building. Scaffolding materials were used to put up the approximately two million lights. This scaffold construction was designed by Portuguese and Polish PERI engineers in a demonstration of European teamwork. The ledger connections of high node rigidity provided the required stability and torsional stiffness.
