Improvement in quality of surface of cold-deformed tubes from stainless steel

摘要
Market for tubes for power and machine building industries is developed. Quality of the tubes for the market should be improved. Surface quality of the tubes is improved by means of chemical treatment - passivation, abrasive treatment such as grinding or polishing, oxidation-free heat treatment in hydrogen, other protective gases and vacuum, anodic-hydraulic treatment such as electrochemical polishing. Investigations of 03Kh18N11 steel have shown that increase in roughness by means of mechanical treatment leads to decrease in corrosion resistance. Therefore, technology for decrease in surface roughness has been developed.
