SCA Laakirchen plans to automate its SC-A plus PM 11 to improve its runnability. Voith Paper designed an EnviroScan moisture measurement system for installation in small spaces in harsh environments to facilitate moisture measurements after the press and at the beginning of dryer section. The 9.55 m wire width PM with a design speed of 2000 m/min and production capacity of 240,000 tonnes/yr is scheduled to start up in May 2002.
