Amital Spinning of New Bern, North Carolina, has been highly successful in its niche market - supplying acrylic yarn for home furnishings and apparel end-uses in the tough North American market. The small company moved out of apparel when imports began to make profitability difficult in the US, and now also has business in commission dyeing.
