摘要
Insights into the companies and municipalities influence on qualitative and quantitative regional location factors. Globalization and urbanization lead to the development of metropolitan regions. They are characterized by a multitude of spatial structures, each with different qualities with regard to regional location factors. Companies are therefore faced with the challenge of identifying the potentials within a region and further developing sites according to their requirements. Aspects such as budget targets, local authority location developments and interactions between regional location factors must be taken into account. Therefore, this paper provides an insight into the problem-adequate planning process to be developed and initial findings from an empirical survey of companies and municipalities. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co.
