摘要
There are numerous parameters and conditions involved in the construction project of a new road. The material and the soil characteristics are fundamental parameters in the road's design. When the soils are clayey, which is very frequent in many areas of Spain, it is necessary to stabilize such soils. For this purpose, the lime is an advantageous alternative technically as well as economically. Therefore, it must be taken into consideration, the easy procedure and the swiftness in the execution of the stabilization works. The text analyzes the four main elements that constitute the system: the lime, the soil, the lime-soil mixture, and the requirements of the Previous Study for the formulation and dosage of the lime with the intention of obtaining the bests results in the works, with the materials and in the optimization of the lime consumption.
