Direct network connection of variable-speed drives

The use of direct-network connected variable speed drives systems for operating the motors that provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, is discussed. The microprocessor driven internal control logic of variable drives contributes towards the building of control systems equipped with networking and processing capabilities. The required considerations for using direct-network connections for variable-speed drives are also discussed.
