Currently, the application of visual communication in interior design has received increasing attention. In this study, the basic definitions of visual communication are provided, and the status and application of computer vision in interior design are discussed. Furthermore, V-RAY (VR) was used as an example of a rendering tool in interior design, and its basic algorithm was introduced. The post-processing results obtained using VR rendering+Photoshop images and the results of a traditional interior design scheme were presented and compared. The preferences of the respondents between the two schemes were surveyed. Results provide certain reference values that could be useful for interior designers and software developers.
