摘要
Recently, the every paper is requiring the better Printability, which has the better Smoothness on the paper surface with the Bulky paper. Especially, the Writing & Printing paper for Magazine and Newsprint paper also are requiring the better Gloss, called 'Glazed Paper', and better Smoothness with Bulky paper. In the manufacturing of paper, the Calendering process is a final step, and very much important process for the paper quality, because a good Smoothness of paper with Bulk, Gloss, and a good Printability are made by the Calender with high temperature roll under the lower nip pressure. Tokuden induction Heated Jacket Roll, called 'Jacket Roll', can easily be heated up to high temperature with an accurate temperature profile on the roll surface under the production and high speeds. On the Calendering, the Zero Nip pressure is best condition for the papers and paperboards, because can be made the Bulky paper. Therefore, the papers and paperboards can be made the good Smoothness with Bulk, Gloss, and a good Printability by the Calender with the high temperature Jacket Roll under the lower nip pressure. Tokuden has been developing the technologies of Jacket Roll for the each Calender.
