An evaluation method of wind turbine airfoil performance

摘要
This paper presents a wind turbine airfoil performance parameters system and corresponding evaluation method. Then the performance of the CAS-W1 airfoils and the DU airfoils were evaluated. The emphasis of the evaluation is stalling characteristic, off-design performance and aerodynamic stability. Results show that compared with the DU airfoils, the CAS-W1 airfoils had good design point, off-design performance while stalling characteristic and aerodynamic performance needed to be further optimized.
