Gaylord Container Corp and Temple-Inland signed an agreement by which Temple-Inland will acquire Gaylord. Temple-Inland is expected to begin tender offers for all of Gaylord's outstanding shares and outstanding notes under the agreement. The total consideration for the transaction is $786 million, consisting of $1.80 per share.
